What is "Generations"?

Foremost in my heart as I write this note is gratitude for your love and generosity in the past. We have an amazing church family!

Philippians is actually a thank you note Paul writes to his church family. In the letter he says, “My friends, I want you to follow my example and learn from others who closely follow the example we set for you” Philippians 3:17, CEV.  Paul was not afraid to point to the godly and selfless examples he and others had set.

Our church is blessed with many godly and sacrificial examples to follow.  I think about the children who sacrificed gift money so they could help to pay toward our new buildings.  I’m amazed at the open hearts of individuals who gave literally tens of thousands.  I think of the families who stretched their already tight budgets so that they could fulfill the vision of our church.

From our beginnings in 1989 in rented space to the gradual acquisition of our first property to the most recent 29,000 square foot addition in 2005, our capital projects have been totally resourced by the faithfulness of our church family.  This is truly miraculous!

God strategically planted ECF to have a regional and international impact.  To resource this vision and to minister effectively to our immediate family, the 1.62 million remaining mortgage must be removed. That is the reason for our Generations campaign.

This is our opportunity to follow the examples of faith and love set before us.  As we sow, remember that we are primarily following the example of our Lord Jesus. He alone promises and is capable to reward us as we enter His ripe harvest fields.
